Canadian supporters’ message to U.S. Iraq war resister Cliff Cornell on release from military prison

A former U.S. soldier, Cliff was deported by the Harper government, court martialled and sentenced to 1 year in a military prison for saying no to the war in Iraq, speaking out in the press, and coming to Canada. Today, January 16, Cliff is being released one month early because of the support of Canadians who wrote letters supporting his U.S. lawyer’s effort for an early release. Canadians will be working to enable Cliff to return to Gabriola Island in B.C.
