Bil’in activist released

On August 22, the military court judge ruled to release Mohammed Khatib on stiff bail and conditions pending his trial (including a bar through the end of proceedings on participating in or even being in Bil’in on Fridays during demonstration hours), but the prosecution requested (and was granted) a stay of execution of his release in order to file an appeal by today at 4 pm to keep him in detention throughout the proceedings. But 4 pm came and went, and Mohammed was able to go home to his wife and four children in Bil’in.
